Zero Installation Required

WinMagnifier is a fully self-contained, portable executable. It doesn't write to your system registry, it doesn't require administrator privileges, and it doesn't leave junk files behind. Just download the .exe file, place it anywhere on your computer, and run it. To uninstall, simply delete the file.

Core Features

Draggable Positioning

Simply click and drag the toolbar to smoothly move the magnification area around your screen and capture any visible area you need.

Quick Toolbar Controls

Manage the window directly from the top bar: Right-click the toolbar to instantly minimize the app to your system tray, or Double-click it to completely close the program.

Dynamic Scroll Zoom

Hover over the magnification area and use your mouse's scroll wheel to instantly adjust the magnification level on the fly, from 1.0x up to 10.0x.

Global Hotkey

Instantly summon the magnifier directly to your cursor's current position, or hide it out of view, from anywhere in Windows by pressing Ctrl + Shift + M.

(Note: WinMagnifier must be running in the background for this shortcut to work.)

Silent Screenshots

Right-click inside the lens or press Ctrl + C to capture a pixel-perfect PNG. The image is instantly saved to Pictures\WinMagnifier and copied to your clipboard.

Permanent Activity Log

Every time you capture a snip, WinMagnifier silently updates a clean text file tracking the timestamp, filename, and zoom level of your screenshots for easy reference.

How to Run on Startup

If you want WinMagnifier's global hotkeys available immediately when you boot up your PC, you can easily set it to run on startup manually:

  1. Press Win + R to open the Windows Run dialog.
  2. Type shell:startup into the box and press Enter to open your Startup folder.
  3. Right-click and drag the Win11Magnifier.exe file into this folder.
  4. Release the right mouse button and select "Create shortcuts here".
  5. Start Minimized (Optional): To have the app start silently in your system tray without popping up on your screen, right-click the shortcut you just created and select Properties. Add a space followed by -m to the very end of the Target field (e.g., "C:\...\Win11Magnifier.exe" -m) and click OK.
